Forty-one youngsters gained new perspective of their community when they posed for these aerial photographs taken by Alex Smith. The images were captured at the football field from a remote-controlled Quadcopter drone flying at a height of approximately 130 feet. After the photos were taken, the children watched from a safe distance as Mr. Smith landed the drone in the middle of the baseball field. Mr. Smith gave a presentation at the library as part of the FIZZ, BOOM, READ! Summer Reading program where he explained the workings of the drone and some of its possible uses. His program also included a beautiful video of the Ninnescah River taken near sunset.
